No mistake about it, mixed within the mass of incoming gunmen and towering amongst them were the familiar shapes of hulking armoured individuals with huge pauldrons. I froze at the distinctive silhouettes of the two giants amongst the hostiles. 11 battle sisters with 3 fighters of unknown origin against 35 enemies, 2 of which were enormous. We were cornered but benefited from cover and elevation. An indescribable feeling of clarity reached my mind and I could read the whole battle as easily as the back of my hand. As the energy expanded forward scanning everything on its path, I gained a clear understanding of the chaos around me. Then the most peculiar thing happened, I felt an expansion of energy burst forth from my body to the surroundings. It was only then I noticed the new messages that had appeared in my vision. 'Protect the holy daughter!' The leader-looking sister ordered and tackled me. But no voice came out from my throat, weird messages kept appearing in my vision. Being a lazy pacifist who resided in a relatively peaceful country all my life I had never been anywhere near a gunfight, let alone a gunfight involving futuristic heavy weapons. This supposed lucid dream session was turning into a real nightmare. There was a gunfight happening right in front of me. If Elisabeth continues to aid Guardians in their endeavors where she failed before, there may be a chance for success.I wanted to scream. Elisabeth's presence in this timeline has become one of the most critical factors, especially as her aid to the Guardians has already severed one linchpin the Darkness could have used to gain a foothold. With so many events from the original and other failed timelines altered in the present due to Elisabeth's actions, there's no telling how the future will unfold for humanity and other species. The presence of the Exo Stranger may be able to help the Guardians repel or defeat the Darkness' forces.
With such grim tidings waiting in the wings and the possibility that the Light will fail or be subdued, Guardians will need all the help they can get.
With the Hive Gods Auryx and Savathun defeated or incapacitated, it also seems likely that the last Hive God, Xivu Arath, will contribute to the dark times ahead. Lightfall promises dark and foreboding struggles ahead for the Guardians, humanity, and the Sol System as the Witness makes its way to usher in the Darkness.
